Kingdom Driven Entrepreneurship looks different from what you are accustomed to experiencing in the business world, even among believers in business. To put it simply, being a Kingdom Driven Entrepreneur is not the same thing as being a Christian business owner.
Let’s define a Kingdom Driven Entrepreneur:
Kingdom: God’s rule and reign (the King’s way of being and doing things), the realm of heaven, the government of God
Driven: Propelled or motivated by
Entrepreneur: One who organizes and operates a business (or businesses), identifying a need or desire and filling it in the marketplace
When we talk about being a Kingdom Driven Entrepreneur, it means that your entrepreneurial endeavors are motivated by seeing an increase of the Kingdom of God on earth, and they are propelled forward by seeking first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness.
When you are a Kingdom Driven Entrepreneur, it is certainly not business as usual. Your business is fully yielded to God (the Ultimate Chief Executive Officer) and both led and empowered by Holy Spirit (the Ultimate Chief Operating Officer). You allow Jesus Christ to be Lord of your entrepreneurial journey by putting the King’s agenda first. You transition from a heart of, “Here are my plans, God. Bless them!” to a heart that is aligned with God’s dream for your business.
